The Christian Optimist is a non-denominational blog/website that exists to provide encouragement, exhortation, and inspirational materials, all designed to assist individuals and organizations become the optimal version of themselves, for the glory of God and the sake of others.
I firmly believe that in order to become the best that we can be we must follow Paul’s admonition to renew our minds and, with the guidance and help of the Holy Spirit, this means that we must become masters of our minds by taking every thought captive for Christ. This means keeping a watchful, mindful eye over our cognitive process, working to eliminate negative thoughts and stubborn strongholds and replace them with positive, life-affirming beliefs.
This blog will feature content from a variety of authors, usually in the form of quotations, devotions, articles, and short excerpts from books related to Christian growth and development. From time to time, I will also include my own writings if led by the Spirit to do so.
